As a lone traveler from Dublin, my recent stay at Khaolak Oriental Resort was a journey that reignited family nostalgia, making it a poignant experience. This hotel, our family's second home, was perfect for reconnecting amidst bustling life. We opted for the direct access pool room, which was a delight. It allowed the kids a seamless connection to water play while I enjoyed serene moments overlooking palm trees. The spa here is another gem; its tranquil setting was an oasis during our busy days. I indulged in a massage there that was nothing short of restorative. Beyond the hotel, we ventured to the Ko Similan Islands, where snorkelling felt like a dream amid colourful marine life. The kids loved it, each splash bringing giggles that reminded me of my late wife's laughter. We also hiked to the 'Small Sandy Beach' at the nearby National Park, engulfed by nature's tranquility, a perfect family bonding moment. With friendly staff and walkable access to local fare, this resort is commendably designed for families seeking comfort. It leaves a lingering essence of togetherness that I cherish deeply. Highly recommend it for an unforgettable family retreat.
